Update, Thanksgiving Day

This will be a brief update to just say that after a good night's sleep in their private room on the 8th floor, Chris and Eunice had a terrific Thanksgiving Day. Chris continues to recuperate from his surgery, and is doing quite well.

We are in contact with the oncologist who will be treating Chris, and he has scheduled his first radiation therapy for next Wednesday. Please pray that the radiation treatments will be successful and that the additional chemotherapy will be just what is needed to eradicate the remaining bits of tumor from Chris' brain. Further, please pray that both treatments will be tolerated well by Chriss with minimal side effects.

All of us wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. We have much to be thankful for, most importantly our Savior Jesus Christ.

Well it's the day after Tday and the Smiths are headed to the game this morning in the snow. (You know - THE Game!) It looks like a winter wonderland outside - but not enough to keep anyone home bound.

The girls had a wonderful time last night - lots of laughs and definitely some competition. Your Bethy is quite the competitor at Guesstures. She said she wasn't hungry, but went back twice for dessert. Lauren definitely has promise in the culinary field. Not only that, the girl really knows how to whiny.

Both Bethy and Lauren were Annie Oakley & Annie Oakley, Jr. of McCook. Lauren really liked the cannon with lots of kick (enough kick that it knocked Abi's feet backwards). We've got pics, for you cute guys out there who are impressed with femininity coupled with chutzpah.

Then we had a time of prayer for you both and your family before we parted ways for the evening. We continue to look to God for healing and restoration. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

We miss you both and love you,
Tim and Sharon

Dear Pastor Chris and Eunice, I was so happy to hear you had a good thanksgiving. Gracie is doing bu well and scooting around already. CJ broke his leg in three places and as I type this He is in surgery. We will be at Children's for a week or so.I am very tired of hospital food! I bet you are too. We all miss you, but Syd really misses you!We are praying for you, God Bless, Toni Rowe

We had a wonderful time with your girls yesterday! They both were quite competitive and definitely brought some joyous laughter to the day. It was wonderful to hear your voices yesterday too and so glad we could wish you a happy Thanksgiving over the phone. We are hoping to have your girls over for supper one night and have a Wii competition....they were both quite good with the Wii remote too! I told Lauren, if she wanted to, to come join our Adult Bible Fellowship....she sounded like she would enjoy studying the End Times.

We pray for you daily and every moment you come to our hearts and minds we offer prayer to our mighty God for you both and your family. We truly miss your presence and we are missing our somewhat Mac's Ritual (Chris) following AWANA on Wednesday nights as well as Subway on Sunday nights! We send much love and prayers to you both and pray the Lord continues to provide strength and peace with each new day. Praise our heavenly Father for the comfort only He can provide.

We love and miss you dearly,
Joel and Gabby Bednar

Chris & Eunice,Darrel &I miss the two of you very much and we are keeping you in our prayers for God to give you a miracle as you start your radiation and shrink the cancer to where it will be eradicated. We are praying also that you will be allowed to come home and do your treatments close to home. Darrel & Lucile

Hi Chris and Eunice,

I just want you to know that we think of you daily and offer up prayer for your total healing---God is a God of miracles and He knows that MCCook needs you, you have started a great work and we need you to guide us in finishing it.

I know what it like to spend day after day in the hospital, but God is always gracious, and gives you a mission. We were all so blessed when we had our extended stay in the Denver hospitals, God did miraculous things--just when we needed it. I will be excited to see how He has used you!!!!

Just wanted to let you know you are missed!!! We'll be excited to have you back and see how the Lord has spoken to you during this time.

God Bless

Corky
